MADMAX is a flexible management and analysis database for multiplatform microarray experiments. MADMAX is primarily designed for use by biologists lacking detailed knowledge on biostatistics and bioinformatics, and provides a complete life cycle for microarray experiments. MADMAX is intensively used by among others the Netherlands Nutrigenomics Consortium and the European Nutrigenomics Organization NuGO, and currently hosts over 1000 Affymetrix hybridizations covering a variety of species, including Homo sapiens, Mus musculus, Rattus norvegicus, Arabidopsis thaliana, Lycopersicon esculentum and Medicago trunculata.
